BTW. After hundreds of hours and a thousand plus dollars, nobody even ASKED for the bloody dog papers!!

We spent yesterday driving through the Alps. Always wanted to see them. They’re even more spectacular than I imagined. We spent the entire day driving through the French, Swiss and Italian Alps. Simply breathtaking! Arrived in a gorgeous hill town, Varese, with narrow winding roads that only accommodate one car. It reminded me of driving to Lake Como years ago. We finally arrived at our hotel, which was well worth the hours I spent on the Internet looking for the perfect spot (my hotel neurosis). We had a sublime meal overlooking the mountains and lakes of Northern Italy, and were charmed by the lovely man who owns the hotel, which has been in his family for generations. He even makes an after dinner drink that his great grandfather created who built the hotel. Better than Limoncello. It was a perfect day. And we’re only two weeks into this. It’s hard to wrap my head around it. Tomorrow we’ll be stay in ONE PLACE for two entire weeks – the longest we’ve been anywhere since we left LA.
